翻譯研究新趨勢:翻譯技術(shù)研究 內(nèi)容簡介

The literature on trandation and technology has generally taken two forms:general overviews in which the tools are described, and functional descriptions of how such technologies are used in specific projects, often with a view to improving the quality of translaror training. There has been far less development of the deeper implicanons of technology in its culturl ethical political and social dimensions. In an amempt to address this imbalnce, the preent volume offers a collection of rides.written by leading experts in the field, that explore some of the current communicition and information trends that define our contemporary world and impinge on the translation profession. The contributions have been divided into three main areas in which translation and technology come togethert (1)social sphercs (2)education and training and (3)research.This volume represenrs a bold attempt at contestalising transltion technologies and their applications within a broader cultural lindscape and encourages intellectul refiection on the crucial role plyed by technology in the translation profession.
