《現(xiàn)代中國的述學(xué)文體》是陳平原“學(xué)術(shù)史研究三部曲”之一。晚清以降,著作體例與述學(xué)文體的巨大變更,使得現(xiàn)代中國的人文學(xué)者步履艱難。從當(dāng)初的“拿來主義”,到今日的“與世界接軌”,在20世紀(jì)中國學(xué)界,占地位的聲音是以“科學(xué)”取代“夸飾”。著述的不嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)乃至抄襲成風(fēng),確實(shí)是中國學(xué)界的痼疾,可這并不能掩蓋問題的另一面,即人文學(xué)本身帶有很強(qiáng)的修辭意味。談?wù)撊宋膶W(xué)的修辭學(xué),不妨先從述學(xué)文體說起,因這既牽涉到學(xué)術(shù)訓(xùn)練、表達(dá)能力,更根源于文化心態(tài)。不管是賡續(xù)傳統(tǒng),還是譯述西學(xué),如何彌合自身文體與論述對象之間的縫隙,都是一個必須直面的難題。本書談?wù)摤F(xiàn)代中國的述學(xué)文體,主要是談在中外新舊文化激烈碰撞的時代,中國學(xué)者如何建立“表達(dá)”的立場、方式與邊界。
